CALMA is where the personal and professional come together.

Founded by a first-generation Latina psychologist and Harvard-trained researcher, CALMA is a platform for Latino mental health that breaks the silence in our communities.

Here, science meets culture to foster healing, connection, and resilience.

Latino Mental Health

Breaking the Silence in Our Communities

Let’s be real. In many Latino households, mental health isn’t exactly a dinner table topic. If you cried too much, you were being dramatic. If you stayed quiet, ¿qué te pasa? Therapy? Mejor ponte a limpiar.

Sadly, only about 1 in 3 Latinos with mental health issues actually gets care. Stigma, silence, and cultural expectations still get in the way of healing. But that’s changing. A new generation is asking deeper questions, reclaiming their voice, and breaking cycles of shame.

CALMA exists to support Latino mental health by creating a safe, culturally-rooted space where these conversations can happen.

Because healing doesn’t always come in big breakthroughs. Sometimes it starts with one honest conversation, one yo también.

CALMA is more than a podcast it’s a healing movement for Latinos everywhere.
